Could have a bargain there - UBG says £1,200 - £1,700 for a 96 :-

Yeah it starts up super. Front brake is sticking EVER so slightly as its been standing for 11 months but easy enough to sort out. Its a turquoisey / blue colour. Got the standard exhaust on. Body work is quite good, just a few light scratches. Sounds great and really cant wait to get her out and about Very Happy Thumbs Up Will have to meet up when tests have been passed. You can pop down and take a look at her though if you want to Very Happy Thumbs Up

I considered an RF900 for a long time but never could find the right one. They certainly look different (an acquired taste) and that's what attracted me to them in the first place.

Enjoy and be safe Smile

Wow looking mint dude from what I can see.

If you have got a standard can on then I think you should swap it for my Yoshimura can for a few weeks Cool (while I get mine MOT'd)
Only I bought it with this can on and it has no baffle in and the current can despite being stamped road legal never is and will fail it.

What do you think of the rear end of them Sunbear?

When I first got mine I thought she had a fat ass and could do with going on a tad diet but the more and more I see her big ass the more I like it. Twisted Evil

When we do pass Sunbear, we will have to go out on a blast as we are only local anyway! Thumbs Up

If you want to knwo the honest truth Dave, I have no idea.

I know the front calipers are slightly sticking as are the rear ones, I have a slight scuff on the front left and rear left fairing (Where the old owner decided to play "Chicken" with the tarmac and the tarmac didnt move) but to be honest its not that visable and certainly wont be whilst doing 150mph everywhere. Laughing

Other than that it seems pretty spot on, he had not used it or started it at all in 18 months and he tried starting it for the 1st time on the day i went to look at it - he said it didnt quite start at the first click but after about 5-10 minutes it was ticking over just nice (Sort of) but as the days have past and I have been starting it on a daily basis it roars like a monster.

It needs a good service and some light maintanence in order to get it running tip top but other than that it seems fine. (Until the mechanic gets his hands on it and tells me otherwise. Evil or Very Mad)

But in all honesty for a bike which is in such good condition externally and starts pretty much 1st time after 18months of standing I cant complain if it sets me back a couple hundred smackers to get it running spot on because I only paid £400 for it.

Thumbs Up

Apologies "David", in answer to that I am letting the garage sort that one for me only I know nothing on brakes. I did some basic maintance on my once on the RS and that was hard enough.

It goes in for its Service / MOT on saturday so I will let you know the extent of the Damage over due course. I am banking on it costing me a further £400 to get it tip top. (Think the worst antything better is then a bonus)

I do know however that parts are not all that easy to come by only I have being looking for a new section of fairing spacer since I have had it and not one is or has been available anywhere so over the long run it could be expensive.

Better not come off it then Laughing Apart from my front brake sticking slightly (although still rideable) the only thing my bike could probably do with is a set of new spark plugs . Soon find out when it goes in for the MOT though

Its like a girly clutch, you have to release it all the way out (around 5cm's) before anything even remotely wants to move.

I will soon have to change it though as I like my biting point to be as close to the handle bar as possible, only you can pull away quicker with them like that. (That what I have found anyway)

I have rode loads of big bikes, the most memorable experience was riding my mates brand spanking new Kwak 636 - I took it on an awesome thrashing Twisted Evil I dont expect this bike to be anywhere near that in terms of speed but I cant wait to get on it non the less.

If you live on a quiet estate I would just take it out for 10 minutes, just make sure you have your correct kit on and police etc will be non the wiser you have not passed. In fact nope dont do that - Do what you feel comfortable with only I dont want to be the little devil perched on your shoulder. Thumbs Up
