I know its a silly question but just want to know how i can get my bike looking tip top and in showroom condition again.

Im currently just using Turtle Wax car stuff and a big sponge and soft spongey type brush for my wheels.

But was just wondering how do i get it to dry without leaving water marks? Also do any of you use polish or something give it the extra shine?? Also i want to get rid of the salt stains on my exhaust hanger, and footpeg holders etc, is Autosol good for this?

Bbasically just tell us how you wash you bike and make it look good.

When I've washed mine I spray the fook out of it with a can of Fairing and Body Wax, Poundland were selling them a while back so I brought about ten cans.....It puts an unbelievable shine on the bike.....When I do my wheels I use Car Polish to bring up the shine, it's just a pain in the arse as it takes about an hour.....

Soapy water and a sponge - using a decent car/bike cleaning solution.
hose off.
Warm water and a decent chamois leather.

You rarely need to use any sort of polish if you follow this routine regularly.

My neighbour across the road uses distilled water to wash his Harley, supposedly it doesn't leave marks. He still dries it off though.

autosol is an abrasive paste
it'll certainly clean the offending parts
just don't be surprised if they start to go a rusty brown colour next time you take it out in the rain.
in other words it'll take off any protective layer on bolts etc and leave them open to the elements.
btw whatever you do don't use it on paintwork

Autoglym Degreaser/Motorcycle Cleaner over bike, rinse down, working bottom to top then top to bottom. A good car shampoo, lather the bike, rinse, then dry off with a microfibre. Wax on, wax off. For corrupted metalwork, you may have to remove the deteriorated top coat of laquer, Autosol may not touch this (if it's just bare metal, it should be fine though).

A tube will last you about 3 years..... That works out around 3p a week. I suggest you get a better paying job if 3p a week is going to bankrupt you...
In the US it's $45 for a 1kg tub or $10/tube
