bike = (ped) Wink

My scooter (malaguti firefox 50cc )refuses to start but when it does start it goes all boggy like nurrr and cuts, if you get it in time you can rev it loads and then its fine until you stop it again. My starter relay has gone so it just clicks when you press it but when it refuses to start if you hold the electric start down and kick it, it seems to fire alot quicker and easier. The plug is a nice chocolate brown colour so could anyone help.

thanks alot guys

ride safe Thumbs Up

If it is clicking when you thumb the starter, it usually means the relay is working but the starter is not firing for whatever reason.

Make sure your battery is nice and healthy.

If you put a multimeter across the starter terminals or the output terminals on the relay then you can see if it's getting ~12v.

It sounds like this ped is becoming a money pit.

As i said on SWF .....

Sounds like an air leak to me - possibly around the inlet manifold , especially with it just being put back together .

Other causes could be a leaky head / gasket .
