An open plea ... please use the 'R' when referring to the 'new' ZX10R. I'm a fan of the original ZX10 and get annoyed at delving into threads etc for the 'wrong' bike ... Laughing just to clarify, here's a couple of pics:-

Thank you and good night ...

I have always liked the old Z1000's I think they are a great tough and unpredictably surprising machine! Very Happy I have never seen a ZX10 but it looks like a ZZR Confused

lol - from the same site I got the other images ... Wink

Actually, I think there is a definite evoltuionary trail from the RX through the ZX10 to the ZZR11 in terms of looks - you just have to see an RX and a ZX10 front on to see it ...

I just bought me an RX - chuffed? hell yeah! Very Happy Doesn't it just look gorgeous? Gorgeous like a tank to be fair .... but yum!

I had the RX engine in my GPZ750R. Nice toy it was Smile I did have a go on the RX a couple of times though, and found it a sure footed beast. I'd have liked to have had a go on the ZZR1100 to compare it.

GPZ900R still looks the best out of the lot though, IMHO Smile

really? that's nice to hear from someone that's ridden one - I'd always heard (and in fact expect) it to be an almost 'nervous' handler - being 240kgs on 16" wheels front and back ...

Thumbs Up (Going to pick it up tomorrow)

Well, I never wrung it's neck, as it wasn't mine and really couldn't afford to hand it back in pieces Smile It felt as though the weight was lower down than the GPZ750R so although it was heavier it didn't feel as though it wallowed in corners. Kinda point it where I wanted it to go and it went there. I'm not a "spirited" rider, so your mileage may vary Smile

Yarrr - I kind of expect it to be a fairly stable mile muncher and general missile - but not in any 'throw it about' sports style ... point and squirt ...

Theyre like my old FJ1200, theyre good handlers up to moderate speed but are a bit flighty when really pushing it.

You're not a small bloke are you fella? lol

Gorgeous 'bikes - I almost had a ZX10 as a first 'bike - but seem to have nicely followed the development - GPZ900R; GPZ1000RX ... ZX10 after that no doubt ... nice early ZZR11 after that ...

LOL, 'bag of shite'........compared to some other stuff it was waaaaay ahead of its time AND the fastest production bike for a period. Not bad for a first bike, i mean, if i sat on your Baby Honda i'd have to visit my GP to have it removed form my fat arse Mr. Green
As for handling, it went quite well for its size and when all said and done it was a tourer capable of 138BHP and 165mph back in 1990.
The 10R is a fantastic looking machine but i'd have to go for the 12R as i'm too cramped on the 10R.
I like my CBR11XX though, it hussles well with its Ohlins, BT010 rubber and BIG bhp, i like my ballistic sofa Wink
