If it's anything like the car one you can see the camera before it beeps/flashes.

Waste of money.

theres an argos one for £100

theres also a Euroriders one for £500 soon to be made illegal , £500 might seem a lot bit it has a nifty HUD head up displaysystem that projects onto the inside of your visor.

its soon to be made illegal cus it can detect lasers and radar which soon will not be allowed.

Painted bright yellow round here we use a detector called ...OUR EYES. Wink

Waste of money, they give you that 'I will never be caught' feeling and the next thing..you get nabbed by a mobile van. The gizmo will tell you it there, but only after you have passed it. Mr. Green Oh and you get too many false alarms in towns, even in city mode. Thumbs Down

I've had the inforad for about 6 months now.

It is very usefull and fairly easy to install.

Also there is a record function that can record your journeys and then
you can export this file in to autoroute to show your journey, speed etc, well cool.

Change the settings, standard is 250meters. You can change it to 500m or even 1km if you're doing silly speeds.

I've had the inforad for 8 months now. Excellent build quality. Cannot be nicked by casual thieves. It's database is not the best available (quite poor to be honest). There are several fixed cameras I've passed by, which the device doesn't warn about. It doesn't have mobile camera sites on its database. It does allow you to store points of interest, but these are limited in number. I downloaded a set of databases from GPS info and uploaded as many of the ones in my locality as POI's as the device would allow me to. Not perfect, but I now have a limited amount of mobile camera site warning. It would be great if someone could find a way to replace inforads european database with a fully comprehensive UK one. Unfortunately, this is unlikely, because of the custom file formats they use. If permenant attachment to the bike is not important, you would be better off adapting a garmin street pilot i3 for use on your bike, and gettting the camera database from gpsinfo.
