I want another laptop just so i can use at the office but don't want to spend too much.

Not too fussed on the spec, although would like as powerful as possible.

I reckon i could spend up to £400.

So far only really seen this

My flatmate bought a Dell laptop new for £300 odd not long ago, wasn't much lower spec than that one.

Try Dell outlet or Dell outlet on Ebay. Decent prices and official warranties (worth having with laptops IMHO).
