Ive currently got a 50cc ped wich i am going to be selling soon when i can afford to do my bike test. im doing my car test now and have my practical booked for 1st august. After i have passed that i am going to do my bike test so i dont know what to do about my bike. do i sell it for a geared 125 to use before my test to learn on or go and do my test with my 50 still and use there bikes to have my lessons/test on and then when i have done that go up to a restricted 400/600cc bike? would it be too much of a jump in power to go from a 50 to a large capacity bike? i know insurance would be quite high but i should be able to afford it. the only problem i see with getting a 125 is that when i had done my bike test i would want to sell it for something bigger.

i would really appreciate some advice and what people on here have done personally Thumbs Up

Thanks in advance

Personally i passed my test and within half an hour i put my 50 in the garage and jumped on my restricted 600 Very Happy
i was lucky an could afford to keep both until i sold the ped, but if i was in your position i would pass my test, sell the 50, buy the bigger bike but before riding it rent out a 125 from the place you learned on to get the feel of the geared bike back.
insurance at 17 was 580 with no years ncb.
