Went for a ride yesterday in the baking heat and 2 things annoyed me

1. going down a nice wide road, and what do i see attempting to hide behind a tree? A policeman with a radar catching speedsters. Pigs! Hottest day of the year and they have nothing better to do than stand on the pavement and catch people doing 37mph..... Evil or Very Mad I can't stand Police nowadays.

2. a minute after that, still really annoyed at what i had just seen, and i arrived at a set of traffic lights, at red. now there were 2 bits of tarmac meeting together, joined by some more tar where my front tyre was...and it MELTED ON TO MY TYRE!i only noticed it because my front tyre felt a bit flat when moving it side to side. so really it was just the road melting onto my bike Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad
Made me mad!
rant over

but has anyone else had something wierd like that happen to them?

1. Don't speed in 30/40 zones then you won't get caught.

2. Overbanding melts at a lower temperature than tar, its only your tyre, go slowly it will soon wear off and it won't flick up on your engine.

3. Take a chill pill, its all part of riding a bike in the summer.

Dammit that's what I was going to say!

Just like to point out that both you and Jon are complete gits, going for a lunch time ride. Jon even took the decency to ring me and let me know.

Gits

I had to make do with a jog into town, a chicken samosa and a prod of my bike to make sure the Polish Builders hadn't fiddled with it.

*That's one of my rants. People who think it ok to touch your bike. Grrrr.

I'd have told him to kiss my ass and get the little scrotes sorted as it's still technically theft and would he like the local press to know about his policy on thieving.

Not when I'm stuck round the corner in an office.

I glared at them when I parked up, then went back at lunchtime to make sure there weren't any tell take fingerprints in my careful application of mud and dust.

The last time I really had to shout was at university when the gay housemate and his friends were sitting on my bike playing catch with a brick.
I was not amused. Apparently the gay housemate didn't see those particular friends again - they were scared of me Very Happy
