I'm proud of my feminine side. I don't need to have a bogey green bike to prove that I'm a man. ____________________ the undemocratically unelected mod of the Scottish section |

From those 3, I'd get the SV in blue.
But I'd get a Z750 / Z750S which you can pick up brand new (with 0% finance) for the same sort of money - £3999/£4299. ____________________ Current bike: Kawasaki Z750S |

You shouldn't be asking people to make a decision on wich bike to buy..Its a free country you can make your own mind up you know.
Personally I think your daft even considering buying a bike if you have not had a test ride on it also if you are buying new?!? get the colour you wan't. The dealer will order it for you, otherwise if you pick your second chouce whenever you see the one you wanted you will always wish you got it. ____________________ Andy Sez....

Agreed... sort of, I could go on about the SV all day, but If you must have a naked bike with no top fairing then go for the Z750. Its a lot more bike for your money. You can thank the faired version by the way for the huge price drop. The Z750s faired version is gastly (soz dmahon) as a top fairing/handlebar look just doesn't look right, you need a lower screen/clip-ons if you are going to make a mid-range half faired bike appeal to those who want the sporty side of that market. . I bet dmahon that those who walk past your bike once parked move their gaze quickly from the bike on one side to the bike on the other... almost as if your's isn't there? ... yep, the z750s faired version has dragged the poor Z into the 'commuter' role in the eyes of the biking community. |
It's OK. Mine is a commuter. Thats what I bought it for and thats what I do with it! I wanted the fairing for the wind protection, not because I thought it looks good. Although I do think it looks OK, and at least as good as its competition - but nowhere near as nice as something like a ZX6R. Mine has even got a big GIVI top box on the back of it now. The other bike I would consider in this class is the Honda CBF600S, but that's a bit more expensive.
If I wanted a sportsbike, I would have bought a sportsbike. Actually, I do want a sportsbike as well as a commuter and expect I will get a Ducati 999 or an Aprilia RSV 1000R in the next 18 months. But I doubt I will be selling the Z750S. The Z750(S) is still a much better bike than the rest of the 600/650cc commuters (Hornet, Fazer, Bandit, SV650, GSR), especially at the price you can pick it up. It consistently wins the group tests.
Mine is usually parked next to an aged Triumph Trophy and a BMW F650 GS so I would hope people don't come for their viewing pleasure. ____________________ Current bike: Kawasaki Z750S |
