Xbox 360 "chipped"

thought i'd make a post as i'm happy as a pig in sh*t lol, sod paying 50 quid a game from now on

cost me a fair bit to do as i didnt have the tools necessary, I had to go buy a dual layer DVD recorder, blank dual layers, SATA connectivity card (My PC mobo didnt support SATA) Xbox 360 connectivity kit.

hardest part was getting the xbox 360 case apart, had to make a little "key" using the plastic from a DVD tub.

stripped the xbox, removed the DVD drive (F*cking hitachi!!) plugged it into the PC using the connectivity kit and SATA card, flashed the firmware to Commodore4eva's 1.1 bios, re-assembled

job done

yeh but the Hitachi Firmware wasnt available until a few days ago, and my local store took ages to get the connectivity kits in

That easy! I'd have thought it would be much harder than a old xbox, not easier.

exactly they spent ages trying to design a modchip, then realised you can just Mod the firmware of the dvd drive. much easier
