Cell antena signal boosters?

Has anyone got one of these cell antenas that are rife on ebay?

I got one free with a purchase and am unsure whether to fit it or not.

If they struggle to give them away for free, they can't be that great. Though I have never tried any of the ones I have got. If the signals fine, why fit one? Plus they look a bit tacky imo.

I think my signal may have risen all of 1bar...

They dont make a signal out of nothing, they just filter out other signals apparently.

As I live in a relatively remote part of the country (northants Razz

) I never get that great a signal.

Its been stuck on the back of my K700i for about 2 months and hasnt damaged it at all.
