Hi

I have noticed a few shops selling Shark lids at half price.
My local Suzuki dealer says they are last years models thats why they are so cheap (basically all of them are half price)

What are people views on them?

I tried other makes on at the weekend but couldn't decide what one to go for. I tried Arai but whatever size I tried it felt uncomfortable the only lid that felt really nice is an AGV one:
https://www.hein-gericke.com/uk/product_info.php/cPath/43_45/products_id/1250

I know its cheap but it actually felt really nice.

What lids does everyone else recommend?

Not being funny mate but the one that fits best. If an Arai didn't fit you try a Shoei.

I've a Shark RSX Stunt.

Its an absolutely fantastic lid.

With them being half price, if it fit's you shouldn't hesitate.

Quality made lid, lovely soft think liner, THICK visor, its at least 3 or 4mil!

Visor change on the RSX is excellent, takes seconds. I can change visors without even taking the helmet off!

I think they are the only company bar Arai to give a full 5 year warranty too.

Top notch, i wouldnt hesitate to buy amother one Thumbs Up Thumbs Up Thumbs Up .

The reason they are half price in most stores are because they don't import to UK anymore...

This may cause issues with parts etc.. but saying that i took my Shark Stunt RSX back to HG on sat as the top vent has broken, shark are sending throught a replacement part as i type... Thumbs Up

Strange..The company which seems to import them is only situated around the corner from me, and it was there the last time I went past.. Confused

https://www.nevis.uk.com/

Situated in Christchurch Dorset..so not too far from you either Mark Thumbs Up

It doesn't steam up too badly, it's quiet and it's light.

I have the initial with a black visor and I must say it looks awesome.

I paid £200 including black visor at ally pally last year, so if they are going for ~£130 ish then you have a billy bargain.
Tis a great lid, quite and very comfy indeed.

That AGV is a cracker - I have one, tho minesa GP pro. very good helmet, tho mine was £240 at HG in plymouth.

I also have a Shark S600 Air. twas a good helmet til u go over 100mph and it gets stuck to your forehead and sound slike a wind tunnel. It's probs a wee bit too big, otherwise a good helmet. Cost £100 two years ago (tho I got it off my mate who was the store manager for £20) bought it for car track day use actualy as its one of a few full face suitable for the sport.

this is my AGV;

I still have to buy the visor, but overall i'm really impressed with how comfy it is (there is so much padding) and also I think it looks good, when I get hold of a black visor its going to look awesome Cool

carlosfandango I must say I was very impressed with AGV they felt really good and was a perfect fit. The only thing that swayed me to the Shark is the price I got it for.
Yours looks very nice indeed Thumbs Up

For anyone interested in a new lid this is where they are doing half price ones:
https://www.crescent-suzuki.com/clothing/listitems.asp.175.html

They don't have all of them on there
