Neither, unless you got a death wish!! do yourself a favour and get something with a bit less grunt untill you have got a few more miles and a lot more experience under your belt. these sports bikes are way too powerful for someone with little or no experience like yourself. Even if it's only for 6 - 12 months, the experience will tell as far as road positioning and anticipation are concerned. A Fazer or Bandit should do for now. Get a sports bike when you can handle one, and that isn't straight after DAS either. i expect i'll get flamed for this, but these are my opinions. too many people do DAS, think they ca handle a sports bike then end up in the Mortuary. The local coppers don't call it 'Dead Biker Sunday' down here for nothing, and it's always the sports bikes, like the ones you want to consider.

Before jumping to conclusions, let's ask what experience you do have. If you're going straight from CBT to Direct Access without much road experience, they might be a bit overpowered for you. If you've been riding around on a 125 for a few months or years, you'll be fine.

Cheers mate, i have had some 125 road experience many moons ago and also larger dirt bikes on dirt tracks but nothing to serious but regarding cost, servicing and reliability which would you consider Suzuki or Kawasaki?
