I'm selling my bike and I need to fit the can back on, I got a little reconnection sleeve from CCC., however, it is a bit lose! What sort of paste/gluey stuff can I use to hold the sleeve firmly in place? Any other ideas? Thanks guys!

How loose?

There has to be a small (1mm) gap cos the pipe expands when it gets hot.

If it's bigger than that I'd guess they've given you the wrong pipe.

Loose?

I had to take the entire exhaust off and hammer it into place. Was incredibly difficult to do, I'm surprised it's LOOSE!!!!!!!!! I'd just get some jubille clips/ exhaust clamps and seal it that way.

Mine has a jubilee clip, says something like 50-55mm on it. It looks and works fine.

Even with the jubliee clips its too loose. I've even tried some joining compound, which didn't work and is now a reall bitch to clean off! I even tried some exhuast repair stuff, but the link peice is just too loose! I've asked CCC. for a new one that actually fits!

I have used a cut up can on my race kart before but others have also used exhaust bandage then sealed with clear silicone. If its done well you cant see it and it works. Thumbs Up

I put the standard cans back on my Monster using jubilee clips - they're a little loose when cold but it's not like they're blowing so it's good enough for me.
