The HD Input for my tv is a HDMI connection. It has a DVI connection so I can plug my laptop into it and have a 32" monitor.
I don't think you could plug HD into a monitor.

Sky have these channels

I think Telewest only have BBC and ITV selected programmes at the minute, but I could be wrong.

You could do it in theory, though I'm not sure any HD equipment has an option to output to a standard monitor connection (other than the XBOX 360)

BBC HD is showing the whole of the World Cup in HD. Cool
