TBH, I think he was just concentrating on what was happening in front of him and to his mate, and forgot what he was doing. Resulting in a dumped bike.

Looks to me like the second guy was too close to the first bike heading into the corner....first guy rolls off, second guy slams on rear brake, locks his wheel and loses it.

Third guy would have stopped in a shorter distance if he'd stayed on his tyres.

Totally avoidable with a bit of skill and observation. They could have been going much faster than that too, if they'd known what they were doing.
