4 cylinders isn't correct? Shocked I shall email a complaint to Mr Kawasaki at once!

Minesweeper's translation was fairly accurate, although the Embarassed was actually "bugger, stalled it cos I've not got to grips with the clutch yet", and the Shocked was "what happens if I twist the throttle a bit then........." Mr. Green

And Colin where have you been for the last 6 months? I've hardly shut up about this bloody bike, I thought you all knew what it was and had been forced to admire the pictures by now........ Embarassed

i guess its sweet that you think everyone reads all your posts. sort of

i think there are lot of people who spend less time on here than me, and i doubt they have all seen ur other threads

i am a bit curious and will spend about a minute looking for another thread with pics

edit

i found this
https://www.bikechatforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=80387&highlight=400
for pics of it in a half finished state
but although i found a few threads with ppl aksing what type of 400 it is, i didnt find any that said what it was

No no no... 4 is good. Wave was suggesting I meant that I rode 'proper' bikes yet my bikes are twin.

No, by proper I meant one that actually has a decent amount of power and can maybe even go around corners! Wink Razz

Minesweeper, not sure if greybike quite caters for her type! Though not really been on there much.

(by the way, the smilies are there to indicate this was all said in jest, as I'm sure she's heard it all from me before, for those that are going to get all angry!)

G - 400greybike covers everything i believe. plenty of people on there with zxr4's Smile most of the stuff is about the hondas but still very useful for any new 400 owner.

LOL it's a ZL400 Eliminator!

Been doing it up and getting it roadworthy for the last 6 months (well, I've been watching Himself do it and maybe tackling the odd bit of painting or polishing, passing spanners, that kind of thing).

I will do a proper review with pictures later, I did actually write one last night but my internet broke just as I was about to post it....... Evil or Very Mad

I was clever, I saved it in Word! But it's on the laptop at home and I'm at work (watching M1ke fight a losing battle with an excel spreadsheet at the moment! Laughing ) so it'll have to wait a bit.

Need to go home, eat, ride it a bit more and then I'll be back on with a proper write up!

Real bikes are different from the rest, real bikes have cam belts dry clutches and Desmo valves and 2 cylinders in an L formation Laughing

I sat on a Ducati 999 today.

Lets just say, the plastics were 'flappy' and there was mesh missing from the air ducts, looked like crappy as hell build quality to me.

must have been a poor 999 then,
they are simple bikes, i dont feel how 'flappy plastics' means bad build quality' hell all my sports bikes have had flappy plastic.
They are Simply designed, the fairings are very easy to take off and they bike is very simple to work on, Unlike my suzuki which was an absolute bitch.
Sitting on a bike dosent mean you can come to a conclusion about it, did you look at the other aspects ?
No thought not.
