The test route in my town was completely different to the one on the dsa site so I wouldnt take anything on there as gospel.

If you have a bike you could sneakily follow the peeps with their instructors although that might not work either (as I found out) Wink

I practised what I thought was the route for ages and was almost shocked when the examiner told me to turn right out of the test centre instead of left so it threw me a bit already.

My advise would be to praccy on all different scenarios in your area. If it bothers you that much. pay for 1 lesson and ask the instructor to take you around the route.

I did manage to get one tiny clue out of the DSA when I phoned (they give very little away) They said that the u-turn and em stop would prolly happen early in the test so that would be close to the centre.

They vary the route, same areas but the route varies. Your instructor will know more than anyone really.

I went left straight out onto the Coventry Road, up to the Swan Island, on to Stetchford where he took me into a housing estate to do my emergency stop. Then we went back over towards the Cov Road and into the side road next The Old Bill and Bull just up from the J&S in Hay Mills, where I did my U turn, then back down the Cov road to the test center.

It was a while ago when I did mine but I'd imagine they stick to the same routes. I was told by my instructor that they go right out of the test center, he asked me to go left. Rolling Eyes

Oh and the road they bring you straight out onto was/possibly still is, a 20mph limit, so they like to do instant failures if you aren't on the ball.

All they ask from you is that you can ride properly. While you are learning, dont pick up any bad habits, keep to the speed limits, do all your observations correctly and listen to your instructor.

If you do it all right, you cant fail unless some twat motorist spoils it Wink
