My bike (GSX750F) came with blind spot mirrors on both sides, they are about 2" diameter and are on the outside edge of my mirrors.

Also my upper arms and shoulders take up about a third of the mirror image

In theory they are a good idea but the problem is........

because of the convex shape they make vehicles which are directly in your blind spot appear quite a distance back!

So naturally I assume that it is clear to overtake, but I always do my life savers and peer in the mirror around the blind spot convex. This takes quite a few glances and more importantly a few more seconds than normal.

Me thinks more dangerous than helpful.

So I don't like them, and off they will come.

If you accelerate hard enough you'll be ok on overtakes is what i was told by an advance rider once Shocked bloody knob!

I've never tried the blind spot mirrors, but i'm not sure i like the idea of trying to get used to the image in them being out of proportion to the rest of your mirror Confused
