just before warrington town centre today at around 10am on the dual carriageway just after the bridge i saw a rider on what looked like an nsr125 red white and blue colour.

with a child of about 5 perched in front of him i.e just before the petrol tank

in what looked like a push bike helmet.

if you are on this forum and are reading this then you need to have a reality check before you end up killling your son.

Thumbs Down

in hindsight i should have stopped but i was in moving traffic and its a completely separate road and it looked surreal

it's where you come in to warrington from grapenhall (sp?) and cross over the bridge.

if you are on here and read this then dont ever do that again Thumbs Up

No Tony I don't have a Child of my own well not anymore anyway, but I have enough of them around me ( Large Family and God Father to a few ) to see that it's Totally Fucking Stupid to transport a child like that.....

But as you know me from 125cc you know what I'm like.....

I've seen a few around here do it, or they've had them on the back holding on for grim death with a helmet that's blatently to big for them as it looks like their necks have been broken as the helmets stareing at the sky.....Just short of abducting the child from the bike and having a word with the rider there is not a lot we can do Im afraid.....

i went to donington park in 2004 (never again.. i'm not paying good money to be treated like cattle) and saw a bloke on a blade in full leathers (power rangered up) and he had his 4 year old son in a t-shirt and trousers on the back and he had a look of sheer terror on his face.

maybe i should lighten up though as maurine wrote.

madness i tell you.

That sounds more irresponsible tbh. You've got to assume he's taking the kid some distance like that if he's leathered up.

Saying that, wasn't the 2004 race a particularly hot day? Could've just been waiting to put the kids jacket on him after he escaped the circuit traffic heat.

No need to lighten up Tony.....It's called Commen Sense and having a Concience.....But like I say above there's not a lot that can be done mate.....

We have a slightly different problem where i live. Kids on mini bikes. Last year was the worst so far. No safety gear at all, and a toddler on the tank.

And your comments NSR-AD remind me of my boys. They are so desperate to go out with dad. Every time i try, they end up squeezing me to death Laughing . The one lad even forgets to breathe.

Near the Roundabout by Mr Smiths?

I think I vaguely know the area, what were you riding? Might have seen you today.

I had no idea you lived in Warrington.

There's being eager to get your kid on a bike, then there's just being stupid. That guy needs a reality check...
