Hiya guys,

I'm after a fuel tank for my car, a 1994 cavalier 1.8i ls and I seen one on ebay for 1994 vauxhall cavalier 5dr 2ltr glsi. Does any one know if they would be the same tank? Or does the engine size mean the car would have different tanks?

Cheers
Craig

Probably the same tank.

Best bet would be to get hold of the original specs for both cars, fuel tank capacity is usually listed.

Hi

Unless they have to change, the tanks are probably the same.

However, I hate changing petrol tanks and would also say that they can be remarkably cheap new (which reduces the chance that you are just fitting a leaky tank).

All the best

Keith

All cavs use the same one except for the gsi and turbo's. They are different because of the irs.

Interesting. Surprised the diesel / carbed versions didn't have different fittings, but I suppose they often seem to be good at keeping things standard.

All the best

Ah yes, forgot about the diesel ones, they are slightly different. Same physical profile but the outlet apperture is different.

All the other injection ones are definately the same.
