For those interested I came across the VOSA site with information on the bike MOT.
Information on components tested is here (click it).
A pdf booklet on motorcycle MOT is here.
FYI note that the registration plate isn't listed on the site as a component that's tested (unlike cars). The pdf booklet says 'Registration plates/vehicle identification/frame no - present, legible'. No mention of size. That should be a comfort then
Hope this helps ____________________ ...and the whirlwind is in the thorn trees, it's hard for thee to kick against the pricks...

I think Stinkwheel originally posted this site which also details MOT testing criteria:
https://www.motuk.co.uk/manual/mc_contents.htm
It's not pukka VOSA like yours, but dare I say it has a greater level of detail?

There are lots of little loop holes, some grey areas that may allow you to have a track prepared bike for the road ie no headlight, brake light, indicators, mirrors etc, as long as its for daytime use only ____________________ Current : MSX 125 Past : CBR 900RR Monkeybike : c50 LAC : ZXR750 H2 : FZR600 : ZX7R P3 : YW100 : TRX850: Trophy 900 T309 : GSXR 600 L0: Monkeybike : XJ6S Whosthedaddy |

I have have reflecter missing from my front forks If I leave the backing on will it fail? Or will I have to remove the backs and the other one from the forks?
Also if I tape over my indicators and swtich is that good enough as they dont work! ____________________ Carbon closet tart! https://www.bikepics.com/members/r6stuk/02r6/
