Am looking at a kph converter too. The bikes a 1982 GSX1100SZ Katana, with one or two mods.

You can't see the stickers at night so don't bother with them. Go the Motrax way, just make sure you get the right one for your bike. Thumbs Up

Would also handily convert the odo and trip meters.

It slows the speedo down as 100KPh is roughly 60MPh so for every 100 miles you do it will only register 60miles. Wink

50=30
65=40
80=50
100=60
not exact but well within the errors of most speedo's

I don't trust that at all 50 equals 31 point something and see as its possibled to get pulled for doing 1mph over I just wouldn't risk it.

50=31.06
100=62.13

Will it not increase the mileage as it will go up 1 unit every km instead of every mile

e.g. you do 10 miles the odometer reads +16.1 miles

No, because the convertor converts the odo as well as the trip meter. It slows down the rate the km's clock up because miles are longer than kms, so when you whisk off the convertor when you come to sell, instead of reading the 10,000 miles you may have done in a year or so, it'll only have gone up 6,200.

I should've done my homework. Embarassed

This converter goes into the bottom of the instrument panel where the speedo cable goes and regears the speedo cable.

For some reason I had the converter down as replacement dials. Rolling Eyes
