Thats correct, no further test necessary to jump to a 125 geared.

Welcome!

Yes it has to be restricted, but in practise nobody actually keeps it restricted!

What kinda bike you got/getting for when you pass?

when u r 16 u can ride a 50cc geared or auto but it must be resticted 2 30mph and when u turn 17 u can derestict it or ride anythink upto a 125 with no more than 14.6bhp.
most ppl at 16 ride de-resticted bikes, most ppl at 17 ride de-resticted bikes as well but i would not recomend deresticting your bike straight away. leave it till u got like one month till your 17th b'day

As far as I'm aware, CBT is CBT.

Once you've got your DL196 certificate (CBT Training Pass), you're up and running Thumbs Up
