Sounds like there might be some over piviledged residents getting a bit annoyed by the bikes. (Guessing flats there are not exactly cheap)

So since the worthless complaining shits have cash, then the police will probably act upon it quite soon.

here's hoping a firestorm takes them all out asap.
Burnt rich NIMBY's = a better place for all of us.

What do they expect, if they live in london is not going to be quiet like the country side. Wouldnt suprise me if they put speed cameras up in an attempt to 'tackle the problem'

The funny thing is that those flats are right alongside the railway tracks that lead into Victoria Station! It is very busy and trains come passed all the time until the early hours of the morning and then start going again at about 5am. Surely this should be more annoying to them then some bikes.

Speed camera on chelsea bridge itself. Bingo.

I'd be bloody pissed off as well if I lived there. Let's not get into this "oh but we were here first" or "ffs, moaning bastards", it's about decency and manners. You doing stunts in such a stupid, public place as chelsea bridge and making a racket at that, I hope you sure get fined.

Of course, I'm suuuure it's the minority making it worse for everyone else but what a stupid, stupid place to be doing stunts and stuff.

Having lived next to a railway line, I found that after about a week you don't even notice the noise because it happens at the same time every day. Your brain just cancels it out.

Hi

Haven't been to Chelsea bridge in years (err, 1988 I think). While I can see where Instigator is coming from, that is London. Hardly like any other place within a reasonable distance would be any more reasonable.

All the best

Keith

I've not been to the Bridge for about 10 years, but I have to say that when I was there, I was concerned myself at the shenanigans of some riders.

The real problem (to me) was that it is a public road which is being used by other traffic at the same time at some wankers are using it to stunt and race etc.

When I was there last, I saw an elderly man drive onto the Bridge on the correct side of the road and have to slam on his brakes to avoid hitting an idiot who was wheelying down the wrong side of the road. The poor man nearly had a heart attack.

I would love to say that it was a minority of the visitors to the Bridge who cause problems, but from what I could see behaving like an idiot was the reason for going there in the first place.

I don't really care what the residents think, and to be honest I don't really care if idiots on bikes want to kill themselves, but if the Friday nights on the Bridge are to continue, then the road needs to be shut to other vehicular traffic. I can't see the police or the local council allowing the road to be closed for the sake of a bike meet.

I know when complaints were made about the bike meet some 18 months ago, the council asked the police to have a look and report back. The Met sent a couple of police riders down there undercover on their own bikes - their report concluded that there was nothing to worry about and no need to consider banning the meet.

I live within 500 metres of the A2, South Circular in London and a major railway line going straight to Charing Cross/London Bridge.

A bike exhaust is a considerable amount louder/more noticeable than a train.

Wasn't the bike meet there years before the posh flats were built and people moved in?

Almost akin to moving next to a race track then complaining about noise on Sundays.

Not really. You know about a race track, it's easily visible. Most folks there are doing illegal stunts, putting others in danger and making excess noise. Not trying to be a killjoy here but I am sure there are better places to be doing it. Like a bunch of kids ffs...

You ever been there? It's hardly inconspicuous, ever so slightly infamous, and been going for about 30 years.

If these people didn't know about it when they moved in (perhaps not from London?) it's either their own fault for a massive lack of research or the estate agent for not advising.

As much as its a famous biker haunt, I think that making a lot of noise at 3:00am is taking the piss abit to be honest.

I used to be a regular at Chelsea bridge a few years ago.
Admittedly some of the stunts are very stupid, but nothing much worse than I've seen at other bike meets.
It was noted at the time when they started building the flats that people would complain and try and stop the meet.

I'm inclined to agree with Maurice's comments; they should have done their research.
