I quite fancy one as a second bike, to replace the car for commuting, and taking the girlfriend on holiday with
What are they like generally? Reliability, parts availability, known problems etc...

Hi
I had one for 3 months when we were in Aus.

Nice enough bike. Comfy. Handled OK, but nothing great. Performance of that one wasn't brilliant although I never pushed it (with Aus drivers and police around I wasn't comfortable to try much), but that might be due to Aus emissions rules (it felt a bit asthmatic). Brakes were fine. I never had an stability problems with it, although lots of people used to complain that they were very unstable.
Main thing for me was that it let me know that I had made the right decision when I had bought an FZ750 in the UK years before (when a GPX was also in the running).
All the best
