'perverting the course of justice' I was told by my mate accross the road (Copper) when I was looking at one a few years back. Even if your pulled over for a spot check they can have you for it(he said).
Didn't bother in the end as you see most scameras and have time to slow down and for the ones you don't see you would never get to the button in time.
*EDIT*
From the LCD link...'The Company that makes this plate is no longer trading.'.....Wonder why. ____________________ Andy Sez....

Sooooooo much uppety bullshit spouted here.
You can have ANYTHING bolted onto your bike, aslong as it is safe.
If a copper stops you and asks why you have a flip up plate tell him its for trackdays and when parked up at meets for photos (to stop plate cloning since 'you boys arent doing much'.
Perfectly legal.
As long as they dont catch you using it it doesnt matter, ie dont rattle through the same camera over and over, do distance with it up, or let a copper see it go up/down.
But if i knew it was a quick action (even at speed) and i happened to see a camera (in the same bush related situation as N30) id rather reach for the button then flatspot both tyres and maybe come off (if corner too).
The worry is the camera catching it half deployed, or getting it fully in one pic and not the other...
Those LCD's seemed the best, but pretty obvious. ____________________ China traffic/travel bike vid - When I make a sweeping statement, please add the word 'statistically' in to the sentence before you bitch...
From September 2014 to January/February 2015 I will not be using any English, nor reading any. As such, I won't be on here. PM at will, but I won't be checking/posting unless in emergencies. Certainly not for the first couple of months. Please berate me savagely if I break that rule... |
