I got stuck in the middle of nowhere in spain with no cash - not going to let that happen again Confused
Besides, the post office don't charge for currency conversion so it dosen't cost anything.

we're not going to the middle of nowhere tho.. anyway, I don't intend using the card for everything.. first cash machine I see, I am getting a wedge out.. and the bank account I use doesn't charge anything on overseas machine withdrawls

Better to be safe than sorry, sure you've got it covered but dont forget the ferry details Hip.

And thats about it, Im pretty much good to go. Will be leaving in about 30 mins or so. It is pouring at the moment (and indeed has been doing so all day) so it wont be much fun, but the ultimate pay off should be grand. So then, next time we speak, Ill actually be able to see who Im speaking too...

Lets roll! Mr. Green

Made it home at 1:45... absolutely completely and utterly knackered. 284 miles from dover, 666 miles for the day... an absolute ballache of a journey, eurgh, I want a car.

Wandered into the garage this afternoon expecting to see a haggered excuse for a bike only to see a thoroughly cleaned, waxed and polished beauty staring back at me. Gotta love dads.

Andy, did you say you could upload the route we took? Would make for an useful companion piece when I bore people with holiday tales.

And hippys, photos plz, in particular the ones of me, andy and nif at the bottom of the mountain.

Anyway, much fun was had, 5 friends were made, nobody died, thank you all!

That really does show some of the twisties when you put it in to Google Earth Cool
Definately a really good holiday, can't wait to start planning the next one Thumbs Up
Feef - any chance you can spare me some server space for the photos, I'll get them off of the camera this evening and upload them asap.

We didn't get back untill 01:50 due to the fact that MrsHippy nearly lost the tailpack coming out of Dover, then managed to loose us while she stopped to sort it. I noticed that she had lost the group and pulled over to wait for her, flattening the battery on the Blackbird because I left the lights on so she would see me Embarassed. She managed to miss me and ride 30 miles up the M20 then back to me (nearly). It was 23:00 before we managed to find each other (thanks to the really cute bird from the docks who stopped and let me jump start the bike Thumbs Up ). Then a quick refuel and a seriously fast blast up the M20, M26, M3 & M4 to get us home.

OK, thanks to Feef I have now uploaded the photos to the web for all to see.
Unfortunatly the server has resized them to it's default size (not a problem for alot of them). If anyone wants to see one in it's real size (maybe the ones of the really twisty road?) just say any I'll either put it up here of re-upload it in all of it's glory Thumbs Up

To view them, take a look at: https://www.kickingtyres.com/gallery/psychohippy
