I used to eat loads of sugar everyday for like my entire life, now i have started to get a belly (see other thread) anyway i have started to eat really healthy now, loads of fruit, decent meals diet drinks etc so as a result haven't had hardly any sugar in about 2 weeks. (i used to have about 3 chocolate bars a day before and sugar drinks and loads on my cereal)

Now i am getting really strange headaches and start shaking quite a lot. The headaches are quite sharp and never seem to go away. I drink loads, take tablets etc but it doesn't help, also i sometimes (like now) seem to go into a hot sweat and start shaking.... Confused

Is it withdrawl (if you can get that off sugar) or should i go and see my doctor?? Confused

Your bodies after a quick fix of monosaccarides (sugar in its rawest form). This will give you the high and a boost of energy for an hour tops. When the body has used this, it needs more and the shaking starts again.

What you need is to eat complex carbs (polysaccarides) such as wheat, rice, pasta and other starchy foods. These give a 'slow burn' meaning that the body utilises these over a longer period ie to the next meal time. However, this can lead to the feeling of bloating as starchy foods are usually quite filling and may make you feel lethargic (compared to the quick fix of sugar), so eat like a Spaniard Wink

Little and often, small portions of a variety of food groups (think tapas without the drink) throughout the day. This will give a constant little boost of energy throughout the day and suppress and feelings to snack as you will be munching on something every 2-3 hours Thumbs Up

This style of eating is used by body builders and A-list celebrities as it speeds up the bodys metabolism and burns fat at a greater rate, obviously if the small meals all comprise fatty substances then its not gonna work.

Its made me hungry now Laughing

If your body starts to crave sugar, have some fruit instead.

FFS mark. You're what, 16? You're young, get back to eating them sweeties. Your heart and teeth are there to be used, destroy them. Mr. Green

Apples contain shed loads of natural sugars, so it can't be sugar withdrawal, the only other suggestion of the shaking would be diabetes, but i'm sure you are not morbidly obese, so nothing to worry about.

Not diabetes, had a scare of that already. Had some lunch and it went away. Might be getting it from not eating breakfast. Confused

You say your eating plenty of fruit, so you are getting sugar in that.

I'm not being funny and its obviously not a secret, cos you mention that you take drugs in your posts quite often.

Dont underestimate what cocaine and anything else you take...... maybe ectasy? can do to you.

So, have you ever thought, your headaches and shakes has got something to do with the drugs that you take........and I am not nagging or preaching just being truthful.

You mention you're just drinking diet drinks now...
Try a week of nothing but water, and see how you do. It's possible you might be having a bad reaction to the aspartame in the diet drinks.

Also, as my personal trainer (who I can't afford to pay and so haven't seen in months) always used to tell me "you HAVE to eat breakfast!"

I always forget to.

Drink a can of red bull with a teaspoon of sugar in it

i have a thyroid problem so im always very skinny and can eat what i want without putting on any weight at all
so i pig out on chocolate cake and sweets all the time but if i stop and dont eat any sugar for a day i get one beast of a head ache kind of like a bad hangover and shake like i got a vibrator up my arse

a can of red bull filled with sugar usually sorts it in an hour or so though
