Officially one isn't valid without the other, so I'd say both.

Just the photocard "usually".

When I did Oulton in Feb it was with Hottrax I took both and they only asked to see the photocard.

People with just the paper license were having to pay an extra fiver to have their details checked with the DVLA.

I did Oulton again with No Limits on Wednesday and the same applied. I'd still take both though to be on the safe side.

I've never been asked for the paper part, but I generally take it just in case.
