I'm hoping to do my test within the next few weeks. As with most bikers, when I pass my test I am hoping to upgrade to something with a little more "oomph".

Basically I am looking for an all-rounder. I want something with a bit of speed and style when I am riding alone, yet is still comfortable for a pillion passenger (namely my girlfriend Very Happy ).

I've been recommended to buy a Bandit but I've had trouble finding any for sale and have no idea how much they go for. Also, Bandits would need to be restricted and I'm limited in my funds.

If anyone has any advice I'd really appreciate it Smile

As it sounds like you're going to be on a restricted licence all the "oomph" bikes are going to need to be restricted. If you do go for a restricted bike on a budget then the Bandit would seem like a good choice.

I'm not to hot on exact horsepower of MotoX (off-road) style bikes but they can be fun on and off-road and some may fall into your restrictions.

Going on from another thread, the Honda Bros has 33hp so you'd be fine to hope on one of those...I think I remember MarJay talking of a list so might be worth searching on the net.

Good luck with the test! Thumbs Up

Gpz500 and don,t bother restricting it (i,m not getting into more of this 33bhp bullshit so use the search function for old posts), good first all-rounder 50bhp ish bikes.
