It's my birthday (17) next week and I'm getting a real bike! Yay! Very Happy

I've got my CBT already cos of my ped. My friends brother is very helpful and says he will show me how to use the gears and everything, but I've never ridden anything with gears before and I'm a bit worried about it, do you think I will need some proper lessons or will I be able to pick it up quickly?

Should I keep having lessons and take the motorbike test or should I just ride around on the bike for for 12 months before even thinking about it?

Thanks, G

Personally i think its best you have one or two lessons with a proper instructor first. As for riding for twelve months before you go for your test, thats down to you . See how you get on for couple a of months Thumbs Up
