I still have my hornet but we traded the suzuki Vstrom yesterday for this baby, its an 1150 GS BMW, she is a little older but by far a more superior bike. Fantastic service at SPC BMW Nr Alton, Hants, highly recommended. I am thinking next year I may go over again to trade my hornet in for a BMW Dakar 650, be a little different than the rest Laughing

LMAO! that beak thing! Its just the styling in the design of these bikes, I have to say it does look bigger in this piccie, I've just checked that out through the window. Believe it or not you can buy add ons to that on some of the BMW's. I've yet to ride it myself as only got it yesterday and its nicks bike but will be having a go so I am told as its not so wide and heavy as his old Strom and I can reach the floor on this one just about anyway. I have to admit pillion its not so comfy long distance and boy do I know that as this was our second day away on it as we had to go back with all the docs on the strom today, catch another ferry etc etc, soon will have shares with Wight Link!
SPC were very good, we only went to look yesterday and he offered us to take the bike away that very day so we could hardly say no now could we, would of been rude to say no thanks Laughing
TBH I dont know much about the BMW bikes as yet but sure I soon will. Quite liked the dakar 650 and am seriously thinking next year I may go for one.

Shocked Then the salute will not look daft Mr. Green

Actually it would be easier to pull snake off Wink Leather boots gloves could easily be used and the bandana not a prob Laughing New snake wears black too. Could do the ninja too Laughing

I think metal gear solid is one of the classic games that better last for ever *hopes snake actually does not blow his head off*

Meh MGS is one of the only games I cant wait to come out, I dont really follow games that closely but MGS is different Wink

Looks like the GS1150 is giving the peoples eyebrow Laughing or this Eh?

yeh, its a great series. It gets frustrating at times where it can be a bit too Hollywood like, I know Hideo Kojima is a big dan of Hollywood. Snake Eater was annoying with the vietnam spy thing and james bond style music. I was almost punching the screen when he met the president at the end Very Happy I think a Raiden style suit would look kick ass on a bike! https://guidesmedia.ign.com/guides/481707/images/mgssub_vrraiden.jpg

nice!! thanks for that Very Happy I dont like the look of those leg machine things though. Did u see on the box, it said "No place for Hideo Very Happy". The main bit of that was okay, but the ninja bit kicked ASS!!! im totally looking forward to playing sword battles like in mgs2, im tempted 2 start a new save file on it now Very Happy Did u see raiden shake the oil from his sword and the way he spun it round before he put it away? The getting rid of the oil there was an O-Chiburi and my Dojo leader can do that Noto (putting away of the sword) he spins it in 2 fingers, its mad Very Happy

Its a relief to get positive feedback, I was just waiting for the opposite as most of you guys are into race bikes, not that there is nothing wrong with them, I quite like the R6 myself!
Nick loves the bmw, its what he has kept on about getting for a long time now and is dead keen to kit her out with the luggage and that big crash bar as it just seems to look right on this type of bike as well as protecting it of course. According to him she is well powerful, but with less torque at lower gear range than the strom was, and he felt he had to use the gears more also unlike the strom but I guess all bikes have their differences. She sat nicely on the motorways yesterday and he said she still had plenty more in her, he hasnt stopped grinning yet...men Laughing
I like the yellow one that is above, there was a yellow one just like it there at SPC but it was newer and more expensive. Not seen many of these 1150 GS around on the Island, think it will be ideal with the state of our roads, cheers all Thumbs Up

Ah, you'll be one of the many Beamer riders flocking to SPC on a Sunday for a free cuppa in future then?

Not a big fan of BMWs personally, but as dealerships go they seem pretty good.

Feef, Nick has already discovered the Touratech range, stumbled upon that some months ago when considering a beamer back then, yes god help me indeed Confused
SPC nr Alton do provide a fab service indeed and next door is the pub where they serve "the bikers big breakfast" which Nick had while we waited for his bike stuff to be sorted Shocked
Bullet, is your mate with the new beamer here on the Island? Nick has joined a gs forum where already he has found 2 Islanders, was just curious thats all.
The K1200 does look awesome but financially we just could not stretch that far for the ones that they had in the showroom, went out tonight to Shanklin then onto Viewpoint where he gave her a good blip, well pleased shall I say he was Laughing
