ok i've got myself a rear paddock stand for my nsr, but i cant use it without help from my dad due to the way the bike leans on the side stand, and the fact that the paddock stand needs adjusting as the bike is upright to get it onto the stand properly (universal stand)

i find this kinda annoying as i have to wait for him to come home if i wanna say oil the chain, so i was wondering if anyone had any advice as to how i can do it on my own (or is that even possible?)

i had wondered if i could get it onto a front paddock by myslef, and then putting the rear on would be easy enough from there?

thanks for any help.

I can put my CBR6 on a rear stand on its own, its easy with the right technique.

I get the bike on its side-stand, place the left hand cup on the swingarm, take the weight of the bike, and adjust the right hand cup to make sure the swingarm will fall into it and then lift. You should be able to do that on your own with the NSR, can't imagine it weighs much.

Get a bit of wood to put under the sidestand, to hold the bike almost upright. You'll find it easy then to get the paddock stand on.

Make sure its aligned with the swingarm and lift up until you get resistance from the left. then grab the grabrail and push down on the stand the bike should plop onto the stand by itself. Just keep your hand on the grabrail so as to maintain control. I can do this with a 205kg RF600 so it should work for you. And I am not a big guy either.168cm. Good luck

hmm i tried doing it by putting pressure on the left then the right, it kinda worked but the paddock went on a bit wonky i think, held it up alright though, getting it down again was interesting however, it kinda started to fall to the right, and i somehow managed to pull it left and back onto its stand Smile

i think i'll try using a plank of wood next time, i probably just pratice?
