Just want to know if you can insure a bike you havnt got a licence for yet ? For example, if i have a provional bike licence (up to 125cc), can i insure a 600cc machine (obviously not to use it yet though). Cheers Thumbs Up

It's sort of the same thing.....

Just before I bought my bike I used the interweb to get loads of online quotes and they all worked fine. That was before I'd even done my cbt or had my licence sorted.

But I was confused by it all so I rang them up (Bennetts) and they told me that I could insure the bike and I'd have 30 days in which to forward them my cbt certificate or the quote would be void and I'd have to do it again.

They also said that my quote would be higher because I didn't have either of these, but it wasn't.

Hope this helps in some way
