Just bought a pair of New rock boots, they fit fine except for over the instep where they're really tight. Oh the joys of having a high instep!

Does anyone know of any ways to stretch this part of the boot?

I remember having this problem with my doc marten's many moons ago and can't remember what I did!

Thanks in advance
Loz

That definately works for leather boots. Get them soaking wet (inside and out) and keep them on 'till they are dry. They will then fit like a glove.

Also try mucking about with the pattern of the laces, this can make a big difference to how tightly they fit and where.

This is how I do mine. The 'normal' crossover bit at the bottom lets me keep them tight over my foot (I have fairly narrow feet) while 'missing' every other crossover on the upper part means they are secure without being too tight (and a hell of a lot quicker to take on and off).
