..Bank error in your favour, collect 60 bottles of beer for nothing
First Direct (of whom I am a customer) were offering gold-card holders a deal with Laithwaites, some swanky wine merchant, to get 12 bottles of decent wine for £65, and get a box of 20 * 500ml bottles of beer free.
I was planning on making a trip to Majestic sometime soon anyway, so thought I'd take a gamble and try the offer.
Clicked the link (once) on the First Direct website and got taken to
Laithewaites page which then told me I'd ordered 3 cases of 12 wine.
Nope, thought I.. I only want one. so I deleted the other two from the cart.
completed the transaction, and noticed on the email receipt that i'd
purchased 1 X 12 wines @ £65 and 3 * FD_offer beer(20 bottles) @ £0.
ooh, a bug I thought. No doubt their people on the shop floor will
notice and correct it.
it seems they didn't
Beer anyone? I seem to have 2 additional free cases!

Lol I used to work in the call centre thier.
Best thing to do is ring up direct wines and say you didnt like the wines they send you free replacments or say a couple of the bottles were corked. No questions asked ____________________ Good girls ride motorcycles bad girls thrash them. |
