I have just ordered a 2005 TDR125 to go along with my RF600 (TDR for crappy weather days). I have owned a TDR before, a few years back but it was an old one. Can the new models be de-ristricted? If so how exactly? Im not too fussy about speed to be honest (its only being used for slow roads to work). I just wondered if it can be done. Cheers Thumbs Up

I had a 93 TDR 125...loved it. Great little bike, especially with an arrow pipe and the powervalve tweaked.

I thought Yamaha discontinued them as they didn't sell that well in the UK

Not sure it'd be much better for winter/crap weather?

More weather protection on the RF - can probably get tyres better suited for rain on it as well.

Buying a 2005 bike to take out in corroding-weather seems a bit of an odd choice.

Im an odd person Very Happy To be honest, i used to have an old one which was absolutley fantastic throught winters. Used it on ice etc. and never had a problem with it. Not sure if i would want to use the RF600 in that way. Anyway, plan is to get totally used to using a bigger/heavier machine , then next year part ex them both in for a decent sports bike Very Happy
