Im after an electric airsoft bb gun. I was originally looking the 1:1 scale rifles, like the SA80 and AK-47, but i dont think my mom would be too keen on me keeping it in the house and using it in the woods behind my house Sad

So ive already go a cheapo colt bb pistol and a net box target thing Laughing and i dont think she would mind me having a better pistol to shoot a static target.

Ive been looking and found the 3 types of airsoft. Spring, electric and Co2. I know the Co2 ones are the most powerfull, but i cant be arsed/afford to keep buying the cartrages so i tough electric would be the best for me.

looking to spend no more than £40. I know, its not much but i currently need my money for doing my bike test/a bike.

What brands should i look out for? Any in particular i should avoid?

Cheers!

hhmm... it seems only the rifels are electric. Pistols are either spring or Co2.

Ive found a Umarex 5522 or a Umarex G36 that i like to look of. What do you think?

£40 will just about get you a decent spring action BB pistol. As far as spending that money on an electic gun, you'd be better throwing BBs at the targets.

Sorry to hijack the thread and be such a 'n00b', but what is airsoft. Is it just a 'hard mans' paintball? If so, when you get hit, do you just trust someone to 'die'? Or am I being a plank?
