I remember reading/hearing somewhere that if everybody in China were to jump off a chair onto the ground at exactly the same time, then this would create a tidal surge that would impact the West coast of the USA with an enormous magnitude.

hahaha what total bollocks, even if everyone jumped at exactly the same time.. i seriously doubt this would have any effect, due to the force being spread out over such a large area, im sure if i could be bothered i could work it out, but, i cant.
