Hi all

BMF Campaigner! - July 2006

Details on current action needed on the 3rd EC Driving Licence Directive and some crackpot recommendations made by a group of alleged experts working for the European Commission to reduce energy use in transport.

I received a letter from my MP, Johnathon Djanogly yesterday, in response to my concerns over the 3rd Eu Directive. He agrees with all the points I raised, and will be pursuing our cause.

he also said that there are plans to reject the directive in full, as the UK testing process is "tried and tested"

The Conservatives are being very supportive of our position. We just need to work hard on the Labour politicians.

Thanks for your input!

Just downloaded and viewed.
Will print the last page and put up as poster.

I also read about the EU stuff on reducing energy use. Some serious errors there in the way catalytic converters work. Basically only efficient when hot. So your average commuter/shool run is actually more inefficient and using more energy than the sales rep doing 90mph down the motorway to his/her next meeting. So as the motorcycle is being promoted as a commuter alternative then there's a definite mixed message with the catalytic converter.

Just my thoughts Thumbs Up
