After an old geezer plowed into the left of my ninja, and with the clutch snapping on the way home, its just too unreliable atm for getting to work, just phoned the insuance and their hire bike people are giving me a ring in the morning.

What do they offer as standard?, bandits or YBR's i would imagine, also would it be worth keeping the cost down with a 125 or having a bit of fun on some bland 650?.

I consider him at fault, i was on the roundabout he pulled into me, two independant witnesses and 5 others riders behind support this view. so im hoping he cant contest liability. Hoping being the key word.

Also as far as old lids, im obviously claiming for my 3 year old multitec, no receipt, reckon asking the shop for a valuation or similar (im guessing they dont have receipt records for 3 years, infinity...) would work?

Its all so.. LONG...

Roundabout incidence usually go 50/50 but hopefully with all the witnesses yours won't. Usually it will be like for like, when the s4 was smashed I got a 650 Blandit, When the TDM was smashed a 1250 blandit.

When I had my crash, I went to Hein Gericke, told them the models of the lid, gloves, heated grip wraps etc and they gave me a form saying what each one cost to buy, which I then sent to my insurance company.

This to me seems very open to abuse Wink

That is what I did with my gear in the June accident, yes, it is very open to abuse. Wink.

Of course I was wearing full Alpinestars with a Shoei XR1100 Mr. Insurance Company! Embarassed.

I was with ebike, who made take photos of the damaged gear. They took my word for it on the cost of the gear though.
