Certainly better than starting it like this guy, who's just bought his $39,000 Harley and is riding away from the dealer.

Do Harleys wheelie that easily?

Or has he got all the rear panniers full of bricks?

They are very torquey bikes. Just the average ride doesn't crack the throttle open.

How did that guy manage to hit that car!! Shocked Bet that hurt his pride more than anything else.

With the money spent in making that harley do that I bet I could make my CBR125R beat a R6 from 0-60mph. Laughing

I`m a fan of all bikes, but i must say that as a rule i 'personally' find the harley/chopper riders to be the most ignorant on the road. They have their own sub-culture and thats cool, but its at the exclusion of everyone else (with NEWER and more technologically advanced 'Rice Rockets')

Also, when is Harley Davidson going to enter the new century? I would say NOW is a good time to get making bikes that people younger than 40 actually WANT to own. The only one i can think of that looks remotely contemporary is the V-Rod (and it handles like a turd) I think in 2006 people should be at least starting to demand more than 59bhp for their (greatly reduced after purchasing the bike) money!

Regardless of the cost of Harleys, i wouldnt call them desirable at half the price.

p.s Calling japanese imports 'ricers' just sums up the attitude of the Harley elitists, but the fact of the matter is, Japanese engineering has far exceeded American engineering for a long long time. perhaps its jealousy?

i must add that i do like Buells though, they have given the Harley engine a much needed Pacemaker
