 |
|
Right, im whipping out my old water pump today and replacing it with teh fresh one that BSA regal have sent me (next day delivery, very impressed).
My question is this. I did not order a new oil filter and i will be changing the oil (have to , to change the water pump). My brother seems to think i have to change the filter, but it was only changed approx 200 miles ago, if that.
Do i NEED to change the filter or can i just reuse the current one?
Quick response appreciated!

Reuse the current one. Wash it out in petrol and let it dry/airline if you like. ____________________ You watching this rubbish?

Thing is - its an MZ, and there isnt a dealer within reach. I Have to order parts from BSA regal over the phone.
They do give next day delivery and the customer care is good, but their phonelines dont open on weekends
Means that i have to order on monday and wait for delivery on tuesday.
Turns out i also neglected to buy a new gasket for the engine case so i thought i'd order an oil filter as well.
I only asked about the filter as i wanted tio know if i could get away with changing the oil and ride the bike this week. Now the bikes out of action untill next weekend.
Goddamn my commute, otherwise i would do it in the evening.
Cheers for the help though guys.
