Here's a pic of the latest bike. This 1993 Suzuki GSXR1100 is a former MCM Fastline Suzuki Endurance race bike. In 94 it was the world's fastest endurance race bike.

It's been sitting for nine years. Instead of making a cool bar out of it, we decided to create a streetfighter drag bike.
It started right up after we got her put back together. Still a very fast bike.

That looks quite cool. I once rode an older one, I think it was a 1980's version, bloody scary things.

That's exactly what I said.....of course with all the theatrics as if I were auditioning for the old Frankenstein movies. I'm sure even the neighbors could hear my rendition.
We were pretty happy to have her start up. Less time wrenching....MORE TIME RIDING. Wink

When we took it to the drag strip last weekend, Dave got 11.5.
He was pretty displeased with this. But, I reminded him that it was both his first time ever drag racing a bike & using the wheelie bar that he designed. We weren't 100% sure how that thing was going to work....... Shocked
We did discover that the wheelie bar does indeed work as we thought. We also learned that we need to make some adjustments to make the back wheel of the bar "hook" up with the ground sooner....which we can easily do by lengthing some of the connecting parts.
We believe that the bike is capable of breaking into the 9s. I've already clocked Dave doing a 10 second 1/4 mile wheelie on the thing.
It weighs 375lbs, has about 170hp at the rear wheel, & 100lb ft of torque. It's very easy to lift the front off the ground.

The bike is going to be in a magazine photo shoot on July 27th. After that, we will be taking it back to the drag strip & see what kind of results we can get. Also need to mod. the gearing a bit.

The fastest MPH over 1/4 mile was over 120.

In the straight-aways during it's former road racing career she went over 200mph.
