I would strongly sugguest you don't do it yourself. One of my friends did it and his turned out white/green. Laughing

I get mine professionally done and its always blonde never off colour. Costs about £70 if i remember correctly and lasts like 3 months.

You could buy a highlighting/bleaching kit from superdrug, wilko etc £5.99...... Mix the stuff up, and wearing rubber gloves, pick out the bits you want to bleach. do it with your fingers and not the brush provided. If the colour isnt right for you, then buy a cheap toner £1.99 ish and that will do the trick.

Remember though, that with bleach..........less is more....dont be tempted to do to much.

Any bloke that spends £70 getting the tips of his hair dyed should be dragged outside and shot through the skull.

A head massage!?

What is the world coming to?

<gay mode>

You can do it by using one of those rubber hoods (not a gimp mask!) they use for doing highlights. Plonk it on, and using a tool similar to a crochet needle you pull small amounts of hair through.

Once you have the desired amount, you simply apply the peroxide direct and leave it there for the time it says on the packed.

</gay mode>

I can't believe I know that, but then I have a blonde stripe right through my hair so ner.

Wouldn't advise doing it yourself, it'll end in tears I'm sure. Laughing You'll be able to get it done professionally for an average of about 25 quid.

Clipper it to a length of about half inch all over. Dye it all, then in a month or two you'll have just the tips dyed.

While it's short, you'll have no problem with helmet hair.

Do it, and post the pics...................should be good for a giggle.

Or............

Wait a few years and you have lovely silver highlights.

I was in the barbers when I first realised just how grey I am. I thought he was picking the grey hairs that were on my lap from the floor! I really didn't believe they were from my head!!

[quote="Villers"]Go wild, dare to be different! (or so the hairdresser said Embarassed )

Never trust a hairdresser Shocked. But she was right ...this style would look good in the wild as it would camoflage you quite well in the bush and you would blend in nicely with the other spotted hyenas. Wink

Just kidding...my hair is currently 4 different colours so I could join you in the jungle. This is what happens when you have 2 hairdressers in your family. Not sure how much more punishment my hair can take TBH! Laughing

I saw this guy with a tribal pattern shaved into his short clipped beard, it looked like a tattoo on his face.....looked really original and he can just shave it off and start again if he gets tired of the pattern! Cool

From my rebellious school years trying more and more daring colours (until they tried to expel me for the purple) I would recommend using vaseline... Wink

Get a nice thick layer of vaseline on any area of skin you don't want colouring - I would suggest the tops of your ears, around your face (particularly at the top of your forehead where there are whispy fine hairs) and the back of your neck.

Follow the instructions, don't leave the colour on too long especially if you're bleaching it. Use a timer for goodness sake - estimating that "three songs is kinda 10 minutes" isn't accurate enough.

Oh, and don't bother buying "Just for Men" it's exactly the same stuff as whatever they stick in the girly versions.
