From another thread (Waiting Times for Test) I found that, if you check out the various test centres you can download PDF's of the routes used for cars, motorcycles, etc. Could be usefull - sorry if it's been mentioned before.

Enter postcode, click on centre name and the list of routes appears on the right hand side. |

All good and well, but you can't account for that car pulling out, or the diesel on a roundabout from a document can you?
And an instructor can change a route when he wants (perhaps to avoid roadworks etc)
You should be able to ride ANY road safely and up to test standard

I understand what your saying, i can and do ride & drive on many roads but it could at the very
least calm a few pre-test /lesson nerves if anyone decides to take a peek and check the route's out.
A little bit of knowledge early on never hurt anyone,

Lucky for me, I got almost exactly the same test route on my bike as I did on my car, and before I took my car test (before bike test) my instructor took me on a mock test on the same route I would take half an hour later.  Definitely helped. |

Just worth a quick mention...
My town has only only one bike test route that I downloaded. When it got to my test I was getting ready to turn left when the examiner told me to turn right. This was leaving the test centre!!
I'm just saying not to take the pdf files as gospel. You have enough on your mind without being statled at a different route.
If you are doing a DAS course there is a pretty good chance that the instructor will take you around the routes as instructors and examiners tend to be a bit "pallY"
