My phone(sharp SH904)has easy navi soft so I made cheap Navi. I once tried riding watching at my phone on a tank bag but it was too dangerous.
Works well for 600yen apart from bad looking. I can't see tachometer and neutral lamp but I don't need them.

I love that mount Kawashima! Laughing

Is the screen itself bright enough to see clearly?

It's bright enough to check turn left/right after **km comments.
I used this one to go to reserved hotel at unknown city at midnight.
I don't use this daytime. Smile

Mr Z, do you work purely off the screen, or do you have sound too?

hah, I tried all sorts of ways to mount my tomtom one to my bike.

Gave up in the end and sold the 'one' for £175 to my dad and bought a rider which cost me £330 with extra car mount. It really is worth the money Smile

Its the only real down point is the sound, i've worked out a "system" but its not ideal, i'll only bother with it if i'm going anywhere really far/fiddley, if its somewhere tragfficy i can turn the volume right up its enough to hear when going slowly! audio jack can be fitted but not wthout a soldering iron getting inolved and i want it in a state of returnableness (due to vibes, but it seems to be holding up fine)

Appart from that that tbh it works perfectly, can't really justify £150 let alone more atm.. allthough ive seen the tt-rider running and it really is very good..they'll be more reasonable soon.

Cool/funny idea, but can't you get the special mounts for the tank of a morotcycle?

Also, can you get sat nav for most phones? I have a 6230 & that would come in very handy.

Only for nokia smartphones that run Symbian really.

I have TomTom mobile 5 on my 6630, i'll have to have a bash at hooking it up to the bike sometime. Will look well funny on the RXS.

I've a fantastic idea! ,

why not glue your SAT NAV device to the back of a REEVU helmet so that you can see the screen just above your natural eye line , (revue helmets are the ones with a clear plastic bit at the back so you can see behind you)

er I think the reevu doesn't use a single mirror it flips the image twice so that it when the light enters your eye it is the correct way round.

Ah yes, no optical inversion may take place due to clever helmet design, but the phone will have to be facing you from behind, so directions that used to point left, will now point right, and vice versa.

Of course, the audio will still work fine.
