Got this this morning - Had me scratching my head for a while. Been to the ebay site, its difficult to contact them about it. Checked 'My Messages' on both the Ebay Uk and US site and inboxes are both empty.

On checking the mail again it has 'undisclosed recipients' under the 'sent to'. I guessing its a spoof but it almost had me.

I'll bet the 'respond now' link will take you to a page that will let you login to Ebay, but will actually be on their server, so they wold then have your login and password.

It's a scam, "eBay sent this message from Michael Douglan (rivernick)" is wrong, that should be your name and your username. And in the message it says "Question from bravofan03" which is a different username so that's not right either. As per ever, no need to click the link to see if it's fake or not.

Clue might be the Cryllic (Windows) text in the title bar.
I have my spam filter remove anything it sees as cryllic.

FWIW every message it has said is cryllic has been an obvious SPAM.

There's many emails like that going around, just like the fraudster bank ones asking you to login to you internet banking.

Just look at the url it's linking you to and you'll know if it's really from Ebay. More likely than not, it won't be.
