Well, in your view, have all the semi-recent bike adds helped any?

i think the one with the car pulling out of the junction T-boning the bike has made cagers think a little more about pulling out but i think they should bring out one for lane drifting, as im getting a little tired of people swerving or using two lanes.

i always feel like the bike in the advert when a car is waiting to merge

your views?

Steve.

Nope....

I still see it quite a bit, well i should say 'far to often', i'm experienced enough now not to get into the position of that idiot on the advert.
Car drivers honestly do want to take note of bikes, but it doesn't matter how many times you show a biker die hitting a car, sometimes they simply don't see you.

I find myself using my horn a lot when on roundabouts or dual lanes, as cars just seem oblivious to bikes Confused wish my cbr had a louder exhaust, then they'd hear it coming... unless they were listening to radio.

Trouble with the horn is that it’s no longer seen as a way of alerting other road users to your presence. It’s now just viewed as a weapon of aggression.

For instance approaching a right hand corner on a narrow country lane recently I spotted a young woman in a Micra parked by a gate into a field on the left. Saw her turn the steering to the right and begin pulling into a u-turn across my path. So I honked my horn and she hits the brakes. Then as I come past she gestures and shouts abuse… What!!??

I probably just saved my own life and possibly hers too. The road is a GLF zone, but I was only doing 45mph or thereabouts so I definitely wasn’t speeding. My only conclusion is that she found my honk in some way aggressive.

no one has tried to kill me for 2 months so it's either my observation is becoming more like a cats or the cagers are being less ignorant.
